T1R B-Max B52 Coilovers Installed!
Hi Everyone!
Product development on the Evo X continues to keep us busy! The first prototype for the T1R B-Max B52 coilovers have just arrived for testing.
The box... so happy to see it arrive!
The coilovers:
Front:
Adjustment knob:
Weight comparisons:
Installation:
Total weight of the T1R is 42.6lbs. Stock suspension weighed 66lbs, so there's a good 23.4lbs of weight savings. Current specs of the T1R coilovers that we are testing are as follows:
Front Spring Rate: 8K
Rear Spring rate: 6K
24 way adjustable dampening
chromoly body
stroke adjustable
52mm piston, monotube design
hard rubber bushing for the rear upper mounts
The prototype doesn't show it in the pictures, but the front upper mounts will have pillowball bushings and a camber adjustable top plate for the production version. We had to use temporary front upper mounts for initial testing.
And of course, here's a pic of the car after install, somewhat slammed. Didn't get a chance to have the alignment done yet though. The car looks 10x better when it's lowered!
Thanks!
