Most sticky tires?

Does anyone know some good sticky summer tires under 300. Is BFgoodrich kdw > stock advans, because i like the style of those and they are cheap?

thanks in advance

Based on what autox guys use, the Falken Azenis RT615, Hankook RS2, Bridgestone RE-01R, and Dunlop Z1 all seem to be good summer tires.

I know when my advans go, I'm planning on the Z1s. Relatively cheap, and uber-sticky.

I'm by faaaaar no expert in tires, but from personal experience i will say that i prefer the yokohama adavn neova's, bfgoodridge g-forces, and falken rt-615's. i have never run the Dunlop Z1's, maybe I will try that after i roast off this set. the Toyo T1S, T1R, and R1R are all very sticky tires, they just wear little faster i have found, especially the R1R with a tread rating of 140.

sooo, if i had to put my money somewhere, i say Advan Neova'a or Parada's!

thats just my 2 cents

+1 for the Z1 Star specs. They're supposed to be the tire to beat. I haven't tried those out but my 2nd choice would be the RE-01Rs. They're not the widest tires but the grip is great and don't bite you when you overdrive them.

I'm using Star Specs. They give that "nothing can keep up with me" feeling which 99% of the time, that feeling is reality

C'mon, give him a break, no need to scrutinize! we all know what he meant, why not just answer his question to the best of our knowledge?

can anyone comment on the tread wear of these tires? Specifically the Z1s vs Azenis. Since I don't track my car tread wear is a bit more important than having the absolute stickiest tire out there...

Just did another track event at 'streets of willow' yesterday using the Z1 Star Specs. Prior I had done two track days with the stock advans on my otherwise stock evo x. Got a set of the Z1's in stock 245/18 for about $780 from tirerack shipped to socal.

Z1's really gripped a lot better than the advans, and were super predicatable. towards the end of the 20 min runs (figure the outside temp was also around 103 f), the tires got a little greasy but it was still relatively consistent. Car feels even better on the track right now. However, it does seem to be wearing quite fast. I guess that is the price you pay for a tire that cheap and sticky.
