Very good explanation. Basically, this is what people are asking us to do when they request parts from the Japanese Domestic Market.

You're right, it does not take any more than 6-8 weeks for the items to be imported. We're using 3 different ocean liners shipping containers every 2 weeks regardless of how full they are. What makes things take longer is the fact that, due to space limitations, warehousing space in Japan is almost triple what it would cost here in the states. This is why most of these small, 10 employee shops cannot afford to hold stocking inventories. Instead, the Japanese have pioneered JIT (Just-in-time) inventory management approaches. The tuning shops and manufacturers of JDM aftermarket auto accessories all handle their production in their own unique ways. They also are subject to the struggles of demand and supply as such small shops only have so much of a production capacity. Lead times can very easily build on highly demanded items because small shops have an obviously smaller capacity. And to top it all off, we're not their only market. Its taken years to build up the American image just so they would even begin selling to us, and now as we forge out new direct alliances in Japan, we are seeing lead times becoming more favorable.

I have been reading all the input for these coil overs and I want to thank all of you for keeping this thread alive. At the moment has anyone acquired these coil overs who cares to give us their personal input? I would love for someone to write a review in regards to these.
