Tire size Question

Hey guys,

I am not good at tire sizing, so please help me out...and this is not for an X.

My wife's car needs new tires soon. I am very loyal to Yokohoma for the way they handled the issue with my X's tires.

The problem is Yokohoma does not produce a tire in the size we need. My wife has an 05 RL and the OE tire sze is 245/50/17 with a 26.7 dia.

I am looking to buy a 235/55/17 yokohoma tire with a 27.2 diameter. I know it will make the speedo read a little high, but by how much?

Yokohama do make ADVAN Sport and S Drive's in 235/55/17, perhaps consider those?

bradc's point isn't a bad point at all. you're going slightly narrower but with a higher sidewall. this shouldn't even be categorized in the stretched category, but it's the same concept.

All depends on preference. I'd go with 225/55/17
