BC coilovers vs Megan Racing coilovers

imo, i have Megans, simply because i want the adjustability and price. I take it to the drag a couple times a year but i don't road race it. They are cheap, good quality for streets, and ride well. Springs alone have no adjustment and are pretty rough, megans are fine for the dd/streets but you will have to replace them as we all know but they're cheaper so it's worth it. I've heard good things about both bc/megans.

IX and STI ver 8 Megans is CRAP.I dont know other years. Busted seal/bearing,rusted screw and bends.Stock bilstein is better
Take little expensive street Cusco,Tein or if you're rich take Reiger

As far as BC goes, apparently they build Megan's so I assume the quality is the same.
Additionally, do you really think you are in any position to make an unbiased defense of their products? I see you shilling BC every chance you get. As one of their vendors it's obviously in your financial interests to defend them.

1. Zeal
2. BC or Megan?
Pretty sure that answers your question... and yes...generally speaking, the more expensive a functional part (such as coils) the better it is... now obviously you need to find a balance between adjustability, performance and replacement costs... but to me... and a lot of evo performance enthusiasts... the megans or bc's reside at the lower end of 2 out of 3 spectrums...

The only other thing I'll post in this thread is this:
Do your research. Learn how a coilover works, what makes them better, what seperates the better ones from the not as good ones, try and understand bump travel, droop travel, high and low speed valving, compression/bump and rebound valving, basic suspension geometry, what spring rates are good for YOUR car, camber/caster/toe, etc.
At the very least, learn about valving, travel, alignments, motion ratios (important on the EVO esp in the rear), and how spring rates relate to tire choice.
You don't have to become a total suspension nerd or go to a motorsports training school in the UK, or be the next Enzo Ferrari or Colin Chapman. Just do a little research.
The truth is if you get a BASIC understanding of those, you will be FAR ahead of a lot of people (possibly the people who "designed" some coilovers), and the marketing junk will look just like....well junk.

I do agree that you get what you pay for, however I have had BC Coils on my VIII for forever now 40k I'd say 2 winters, rain, no garage. There is absolutely no rusting on them at all.
Yes at this point I will be trading them in for a new set at only 100 a piece but by far these are the ''Most Comfortable'' street coils I have ever rode on in any friends EVOS. Apples to oranges I had Apex, Tein SS and then the Flex's on my Integra and they were *** compared to the BC's on my EVO
Just my review take it as you wish

I have not driven on them, but I have seen more than a few sets of Megan "Racing" coilovers with busted seals and rust problems.

Megan is made by BC. Megan is BC's lowest line, I will end with that.

I am of the mind that I need to do it right, so until then works ride springs will do it for me. Once I can set some money aside for Mueller or Robi's magic then that will be next. I know lot's of people using the Megans and they all seem to be fairly happy with their choice.

I mean Bor Chuan (NOT Buddy Club)
Take a look at current line of D2 vs Bor Chuan vs megan Apexi and etc. They look identical.
I can't say who, but I got it out of some one workign apexiIIII (I said those look awfully like d2 and he didn't deny it)LOL
Plus. D2 make custom speck for lot of these mfg too. so there could be different variation of coilovers.
Either way. there aren't true JDM made stuff any more.
But again, maybe they change the MFG company. who knows at this point.

Well your "source" must really not be very will informed then. If you would bother to just do a little bit of research online you would find that BC Racing, also known as Bor Chuan Enterprises is a manufacturer, they are not made by anyone. In fact they private label manufacturer many other companies (some of the ones you listed), including some big JDM ones you would be surprised to hear about. D2 is also a manufacturer and they make Ksport. You really shouldn't go around spreading misinformation.
