i am no expert so by all means correct me but imo on a 10" wide rim you might get away with +25 offset without rolling but you might need a littel bit of negative camber

There is no performance differance in a +25 offset and +35 offset. Its only 10mm. 10mm is big but not big enough to make a differance in handling. Its about the tires. And yes you can go too wide but i dont think you will have to worry about that.
If you go with a +35 you can fit a 275 tire with out any modifications on stock suspension. If you go with +25 you can fit a 265 tire without any modification on stock suspesion. A 275 tire on a +25 rim on stock suspesion will hit the rear fenders and you will need to roll the rear fenders. I am only refering to a stock Evo X and a 10' rim. If you plan to change your suspension, you can fit a bigger tire with the right camber setting.
Get the 10' rim if you can affored it.

guess i'll be picking up these rg2's... i think it's a pretty good deal for $1600.
regardless, i'll still have my rz's so if i'm not happy with the new wheels i'm fairly sure i can sell them and get my money back.

needed a GOOD roll on the back and rubs on the spring perch on the front
running a 285/30r18 bfg KD

I was able to run wide 275 width Direzza Star Spec tires on stock suspension and it only rubbed on the driver's side corner. I believe that if my toe was set correctly from the factory, rolling my rear fender would not have been necessary.

18x9.5 +22

You can still run 275s on 18x9.5 wheels.

That .5 inch won't make that much of difference if you are just using them for DD and occasional track event.

I've got works springs installed on my Evo X Mr (dropped 0.9" in the back and 0.5" in the front). If I want 18x10 +25 AME fs01 wheels with 265 tires am I going to have to roll the fenders or adjust camber?

There is an 'aggressive wheel and offset thread'. What I took away from reading 30+ pages is that 18x10.5 is an aggressive size, with a 275 tyre....offsets varied, but one particular application was +18. This was a car that was street driven and tracked. Fender work was needed.

My thought is, if you want that aggressive stance, you're going to have to roll the fenders.

We run 18x9 + 22 AME FS-01 with 245 r888's and haven't had any rub issues ( fenders aren't rolled ). with 18x10 +25 w/ 265 tires, you might be close, but I don't think you'll have any rubbing issues. a little camber and rolling the fenders doesn't hurt as back up though
