18x9.5 +38 vs +15 Enkei RPF1

Hey guys,

I am trying to figure out if I need to order the 18x9.5+15 or the 18x9.5+38 to get it to fit on the Evolution X.

I saw in one thread someone running the +15 offset, but they said they needed to run near max camber to get them to work.

Would I have problems running the +38 offset?

Thanks!
-Chris

Either will need work... +38 will need wheel spacers, +15 will require a fender roll depending on tire size.

so they don't have +20 or 22? not sure about +38 but +15 need to roll fender for sure if u got lowered suspension . if both need work then go for +15 at least looks much better

On the +38, you'd need spacers to clear what? I'm guessing the caliper or maybe the inside suspension bits if stock.

+15 you can get away with a 265 or smaller tire (unless it's a "wide" tire like a starspec) if you run lots of camber (~2*). It looks nice though

im thinking about doing +15 too. some say it fits perfectly with even the stock tires with out any finder rolling or rubbing, kinda hard to believe though.

Interesting.

Tire rack lists 18x9.5 +38s for my car as the correct size. I guess I'll know for sure when they arrive.

I run 18x9.5+22 as do a lot of other people ... and if I could do it again ... I'd definitely go more aggressive offset. +22 with a 265/35/18 looks sunken at some angles and perfect at others.

i'd roll the fenders ... I don't think you'd have to pull. But basically ... the +38 will look lame ... don't do it.

here's a shot of my +22s

You should definitely go with the +15 offset.
with a little help from camber plates... you can easily squeeze in 275's or larger.

We're running 18x10.5 +15 with Z1 Star Specs - 265/35/18
Rear fenders are rolled...that's it. no other fender mods.

I'm running the same size wheels with 275/35's and need fender rolling. Talked to a few shops around who I thought would be able to do it but none of them panned out. I've heard you do fender rolling. How much? Also, insofar as camber plates, on the Evo X which do you recommend and how much would they set me back?
Thanks in advance.
