EVO X GSR - Brakes
Hey all,
i am trying to find replacement pads for the evox. Lancershop has the front but nothing for tha back - their HAWK combo says it fits EVO IX.
Has anyone replaced the pads and if so with what. I would prefere something i can buy locally in canada (lordco preferrably).
Dealership wants $500+ for front and roughly same for the rear

I too have looked into pads after I had them warrantied and found out about the 500 factory pads. EBC apparently makes replacement pads according to there web site for around 150 on there. Ebay has rear pads for around the same price.

The Raybestos pads I got for track duty are beasts.... 2 full days and I only burned 2 mm off the fronts and 1mm off the rears! I wasn't babying the brakes either as my Red Brembos are now a reddish brown with the white lettering slighly yellowed.
I'm sure they have street pad applications that will out perform the stockers for much less and dust less as a bonus depending on how responsive you want them to be. They have rear pad adapters that keep the Evo 8/9 pads from shifting around when installed. The stock pads are ok for what they are but I would never buy a replacement set for this car.

Hey if anyone is interested we have the Pad Adapters which allow you to run any EVO 8/9 pad on the rear and we also have the new Ferodo DS2500 dedicated EVO X pad shape in stock.

+1 to that. I ran Axxis Ultimates on my RSX, and they had great bite but dusted like CRAZY. If dust is a concern, avoid them. I was really happy with them because of the really good feel and initial bite they gave me at autox.
