Toyo R888 vs BFG R1 Fitment

Toyo R888 vs BFG R1 Fitment
Switching from Nitto NT01's to the Toyos or the BFGs depending on lap times and longevity. Only one way to find out: buy both
Running a 9.5" and found the 275 Nittos a bit too wide for my tastes. As I said before, this width tire would benefit more from a 10 or 10.5 width for hard track use. It is interesting to note that mounted, the 265 R1 has the same observed section width (10.5") of the 275 NT01 and a more square side wall. The R888 has a similar more rounded sidewall like the Nitto and is a bit narrower (10.375").
R compounds run wider than street tires. I personally don't think the 275 in any of these brands will make a differrence over the 265 on a 9.5" rim. I may just try a 255 next time once I pick which one I like best. RC-T4s arn't bad either

A SEARCH HELPED ME BRING THIS BACK FROM THE DEAD. SORRY!
Great pics. Last year I ran the BFG R1's in 255/40/17 on BBS wheels. The grip was the most I've ever had .... the 255 was over 10" wide.
I do think the 255s were a touch too wide for the 8" bbs wheels. They fit fine but towards the end of their life I did see abnormal wear. I suspect they may have been shifting around on the rim a bit.
I can't decide between purchasing another set or moving to the Hoosier R6 in a 245/45/17. HELP!
