Anyone know about Konig Swurve wheels?
I'm considering the purchase of a set of 18x9.5 Konig Swurve wheels. They have a +25 offset and supposedly weigh only 20.3 pounds. Should be a good fit for my stock Evo X. Here's the best news: Discount tire sells them for $160 each. Sounds almost too good to be true, so let me know if you have heard good or bad about them. I guess they're a fairly new offering from Konig. Thanks!

I just saw an ad for them in my lateste Modified Mag (or Performance and Sound, don't remember which one). they look pretty nice, haven't heard anything about them though. Good luck on them and let us know how they are if you end up getting them

I don't know about better rims "for the price," but I definitely think that's an ugly wheel. In my experience, Konig doesn't really make crappy quality wheels, but their wheels are usually pretty heavy... and ugly. I think the Feathers are some of the best looking wheels Konig has ever made.

For sale WITH new tires $1200 https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...x114-3pcd.html
The way I see it, if you bought those koings and put tires on them, you would be looking at the same price if not more.
and btw, those Konigs still suck even if if they $100/ wheel

nah, you got it backwards. you'd need a 10mm spacer to make the 18x9.5 +25 Konigs fit like 18x9.5 +15. The +25 is ever so slightly sunken. and the +15 is just a little out passed the body. Not sure what you meant by "good fitment", but functionally the +25 is an easy fit and the +15 might need rolling in the rear if the tire is meaty enough.

If you can afford an Evo it shouldn't be a stretch on your budget to buy some better wheels, like Rotas for example. They do cost about $100 more each than the Konigs but wheeldude/Rota has a good reputation here. Fitment/style is also better with the Rotas since they're pretty much made for aggressive fitment on the X. At the end of the day it's your money, but everyone is telling you to shy away from Konig so there must be a reason.
