I've searched this forum but can't find a definitive answer. Looks like the main clearance problem is the front brake caliper. But depending on the construction of the wheel, maybe there's a 17" wheel out there that will clear the brakes on a X.

Just put the stock sizes in the left, and what wheel/tire you want to try on the right, and it will tell you how it will fit. Unfortunately this site doesn't take brake caliper placement into account.

So please chime in if you have ACTUALLY SUCCEEDED in mounting a 17" wheel on your Evo X, or know for sure of someone else who has. I'm only interested in facts and reliable information, not hearsay, rumors, or uninformed opinions. Please say what brand, model, and size of 17" wheel it is that actually fits.

The stock 18" wheels on my X only clear the front brake calipers by about one-quarter inch, so I doubt any 17" wheels would clear, but I would like to get this question settled once and for all.

FRONT: 17" will not clear the brakes.
REAR: 17" will clear the brakes.
