Stock wheels stolen...
Likely I'm selling the Eclipse this season but decided to test fit my 18" winter wheels and tires to see how they would look.
Looks like the Stock Evo X wheels fit the 2G Eclipse assuming you mount a tire that runs a little narrow. Wider ones would likely need a 5mm spacer up front to clear the inner suspension though. Figured it's one more type of car owner you can sell your OEM wheels to. They stick ouit of the wheel wells maybe 5mm and would need a standard fender roll to avoid rubbing.

Are you hitting the bumpstops a lot more now now with the Eibachs? How do you like them overall? Are they bouncy?

That is once clean Eclipse! Nice looking pair of Mitsubishis, and those wheels on the X look great ![Thumbs Up](https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/images/smilies/smilie_thumbsup.gif)
The Eibachs are not bouncy at all. As far as feel, they ride pretty much like stock springs, just lower obviously. I've never hit the bumpstops, and I've unintentionally hit a couple good bumps/potholes. The rear bumpstops get trimmed a little anyways.

I can snap some more pictures of the Evo X from the side and different angles. The Eibach springs are good for what they are, but they are no coilover setup. With the stock 18" wheels and tires they seem fine, but have a touch of bounce with the 19" wheels and tires which could be the shorter sidewalls adding in some extra "effective" spring rate beyond what the stock shocks can handle.
As far as I know I haven't hit the bumpstops yet but the progressive nature of the springs really ramps up the spring rates when they are about to bottom out and that could be the bounce I get on bumpy turns. Still compared to the Evo 8 I had, the Evo X doesn't bump steer much at all but that could be the AYC and other aids making it more stable. I guess if the anti roll bar was too stiff it could also increase bump steer.
