275-40-18? nitto nt05
has anyone put a 275-40-18 on a 9.5" wheel?
my current setup is 18x9.50 te37 on falken rt615's 255-40-18.. im going to 275 but i want to keep it thick... has anyone ran this setup? idk if there would be too much rubbing on the inner liner or ect...
is it an overkill? im already rolled on the rears so thats no problem =)
thanks guys,
geo

No it probably would not. These tires would provide about 30mm more of tire to stick to the street. You would probably get more oversteer from getting stiffer sway bars.
But it's rather pointless to have suck a wide tire for regular street use.
It's far better to get somelike a 255/265 for street max. Even the stock 245 is a lot for street use.

im a fan of meaty tires =P
and yes i will be going to the track again!...
does anybody have this setup?
ill probly end up with a 275-35-18 but i just wanted to see if theres anybody out there with this setup...
ride comfort would be better plus it cant hurt at the track =)

I think you'll be better off with the 275/35. Who wants the 4x4 look?

275/40/18 = 110mm sidewall height
255/40/18 = 102mm sidewall height
so overall you would have 8mm additional heighth if you run the 275's compared to what you are running now
