Upgrade Rear Sway Bar only?

I was looking at the Cobb and Hotchkis Anti-Sway bar kits for the X. I've heard the front sway bar is a bear to install.

Would installing an upgraded rear sway bar only be of any benefit? If so, what setting (rate increase) would be best? The rest of the suspension is all stock.

Or would a thicker bar/higher rate in the rear make the handling worse?

thicker rear bar will increase oversteer causing the rear to step out easier also it will make the car more stable. i have the cobb rear sway installed and set of the middle. i haven't had a time to drive the car hard yet. i did take an onramp fast and the car felt good.

like ^^ said. RSB will help stiffen up the feel of the car and induce more oversteer. good thing for handling and racing. the setting depends on what you like, what you do, and which bar you go with. do not have any experience with the X's but when i go to upgrade ill be going with Robispec, some good stuff. gl with the purchase man and enjoy

I'm not sure about Hotchkis or RobiSpec, but I know WORKS sells just the rear swaybar. I believe it's 25mm and 3-way adjustable. I'm about to pick the WORKS SS1 package that comes with their lowering springs and front and rear sways.

I think ideally you'd go with the full set of front + rear, but just the rear should stil lbe some benefit.

Whiteline sells just the rear too.

Both bars will affect the cars over/understeer. The rear will have a bigger impact though so its more worth it to get the rear.
