Ordering new tires
I'm looking to get a new set of tires early next week. These tires will be mostly for street with maybe a driver school or two during the year. I was thinking of getting the Falken Azenis RT 615's but those seem to be more of a Auto-X tire. Basically I'm looking to get something that grips atleast as much as the stock advans. Can anyone recommend a tire? Also does anyone have any information on the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 tires?

The 615 is a very old compound. Unless it's the only thing in your size (miata typically) I can't recommend it.
The stock tires are very grippy, but they are pretty expensive.
You need to decide what you value most:
- cost
- life
- grip
You can control basically one of these factors (and sometimes two). There is no tire that is cheap, long lasting and has epic grip.

The above plus Kumho Escta XS <--- fairly cheap alternative and supposedly has pretty good grip. I'm not sure about sidewall stiffness but I'm expecting them to be a little soft. No info about wear because it's such a new tire.
Why don't you try them out and let me know!

I have the RT-615's on right now, and they've lasted about 15,000 miles (and no autox's unfortunately)... I'm also looking at the Hankook Ventus V12 Evo K110 now, does anyone have any info on this tire? it "seems" good, if it's as good as the RS2, that would be great...
