How many miles are you guys getting from stock tires?

I got the Evo with 5 miles on it... and its about 14,000 miles and my tires are getting bald.. the inside is pretty much all flat, outside has some tread... maybe it's a little over inflated? all 4 are evenly worn out.. time to shell out 1000$ for tires

Maybe I was pushing it too hard the first few month over the excitement? My previous 350Z tires had much better miles

also... anyone recommend any other brands of tires or place to purchase for cheaper? I don't track the EVO n live in Cali... warmness all year round minus a few days of rain

Hahah yeah well I kind of went and shredded mine up at an abandoned airstrip last summer so they maybe got 4500kms of useful life before I made a mess of them.

I just hit 21K miles and the tires are about ready for replacement. I have BF Goodrich T/A KDWs on order. There are better options out there, but it came down to personal preference for me.

I have 9,000 on mine and they are looking worn, but still usuable. I have also autocrossed several events on them. I have a spare set of them in storage I plan to put on later in the summer.

15k. was pretty relentless for about 6k of them.

how many times are you guys rotating the tires? I only went through one rotation, but my buddy was telling me he does his rotation ever other oil change?...

I have almost hit 15k and I have rotated once at 9k or so. I should be able to get 20k out of them.

I got over 22k with my evo IX.

Aside from the way you drive, your alignment makes a big difference.

that is what every 6,000-10,000 then. Yeah I think at a minimum it should be that. I try to do mine every oil change which is ~5,000 for me.

If you get 20k out of your stock tires either you have the magic touch of Alain Prost or Ayrton Senna or you are not enjoying the full potential of your car. I say at 10K you will notice a lot of wear and at 15k you should be on a new set. And if you complain about tire and brake pad wear, may I suggest something from Toyota or Nissan?
