I can only speak from what I have and have used on my X, and that is D2 suspension. I drag my car and DD it as well from Bklyn, NY to Garfield, NJ daily for work, which is about 70 miles round trip. I see your (OP) in NY and you know how the roads are here, and I dont have any complaints what so ever. D2's retail for $1425. but you can find them, as I did, between $850-$925 depends on where you buy it.

Yes you can swap the springs. My point is that you should get your suspension stuff from a suspension vendor that knows what they're doing.....

^ We've got a lot of experience with AST....great dampers with huge range on the valving....it's not 32 clicks where all 32 clicks are almost the same and all 32 clicks suck like many coilovers. The AST's are great. You're well over 3 grand though when it's all said and done.
Thanks. I'm getting them put on Monday so I just wanted to know if any Evo owners had experience. I decided to go with them based on the advice of my tuners, who primarily tune and race BMWs and Porsches.
I find their montube design really interesting and I've been told they are great for street and track. I'll report back. I know they are a bit pricey ($3600 for parts including springs, camber plates, etc.) but they were still within reason and seem to be universally praised by experienced tuners.

Keep the posts coming tho!!!!!

Are the Muellerized JIC's that bad, honest opinion?
Ok, so other than the KW's are their any other good choices that i have to choose from?
I had these 3 in mind ...
HKS Hipermax 3 (non-sport) ... could i get these with pillow ball mounts
Ohlins (would love to get, but they are pricey)
AST (would love to get, but they are pricey also)

Thanks for the feedback.
Still have a few choices that i may pick from ... looks like i may spend over my $2k budget. LOL.
If i get the KW's, does anyone know a good suspension specialist i can go to in NY city?
