Can I run Different size sidewalls say..40 front and 45 rear series

Also, to pick between 255/40 or 245/45, take the one that's not as tall. Heard of some people having rubbing issues when going with a taller tire. Just did the calculation and 255/40 should be closer to stock height (tire diameter).

Well it's the OD that affects the drivetrain, correct? So in theory, you could run two different sized tires as long as the OD is the same, correct me if I'm wrong. I know when the Evo was competitive in stock autocross class a couple years back, the national-level guys would run 275/40/17 front and 245/45/17 rear to get more rotation. But that's also not for prolonged periods of time, so maybe it's a bad example...

OD - cant have front and rear wheels spinning at different rates. That fries the center diff.

Then you miss threads that don't have it in their titles... Think of all the titles out there. For example, if I typed "different tires" This thread would not show up.
