MICHELIN Pilot Sport PS2

I hate my current tires that i rarely drive my evo
they rub like hell in the fronts
i know it is my mistake
why the hell did i go for 285 lool

anyway, time for new tires and coilovers
unfortunately semi-slicks is very hard to find over here...
my 1st options
MICHELIN Pilot Sport PS2 265/30/19
any experience with those?

yes i do track my evo once or twice a month

Get Potenza RE050A or if you can get the new S001 instead. Literally the same level of grip, stiffer sidewalls. Pilot Sports will do just as fine, but you need to overinflate them a bit otherwise you will EAT them away literally. I used them for a summer and they were a good tire.

The price is pretty much the same in Slovenia for either of these.

I don't think the RE050's are a comparable tire to the PS2's. You want something more track oriented with higher levels of grip? Try the RE-11.

PS2's won't hold up to track days on a constant basis. The shoulders will begin breaking down.

why don't you go with 275 tires? with rear fenders rolled they shouldn't rub

PS2s are all-season tires so you won't get much grip. I have them on since I go snowboarding and need the snow-rating. Compared to the stock Yokohamas, they are pretty soft. There's no all-season tires I've come across that have performed at par with ultra high performance summer tires.

If RE050A don't feel like a tire with grip for you - go with something much much softer - anything in the semi slick range - Toyo R888(won't last but will grip), Direzza Z1 Star Spec, Potenza RE-11, Kumho XS, etc... I just noticed you're from UAE, meaning the rain isn't really a daily worry there.

You're spreading misinformation that can get someone killed. Good thing you need the "snow rating" on your pilot sports... Wait, they don't have any. Have fun snowboarding on them, you don't even need to get out of the car.

I will go with PZero Corsa System, they are OEM on AMG Black Series.

just fyi, the corsa is not comparable to your old tires--they are dot race tires, like the pilot sport cups. don't expect them to last long for normal daily driving.

First of all you should not be tracking your evo with 19's!! Get some 18s and go with 265/35 nitto nt-05's . I have nitto invos for dd wheels which make the ride very smooth compared to the nt-05's i have on my track wheels!! So pick your poison but stick with nittos!! Nt-05's are no joke!!
