What is the cost of when a new rotor face is called for? You just have to change the rotor ring and not the whole assembly.
Lets say for Giro disk or DBA. I've searched in most of the venders websites and have not found any info.

The point would be to inform myself along with other people whether the initial impact cost of purchasing a two piece rotor could later be made up by only having to buy the ring versus a new 1 piece rotor. So it could be more cost effective if you DD and track your car and need new rotors every 14K miles.

I figured it could be good info. I guess you don't {thumb up}

Good question. My MR's rotors should be up for replacement soon. Hope someone chimes in.

the stock MR rotor is not replaceable (lame I know).

I'm interested to know the cost of the girodisc replacements since I have Girodisc front 2 piece rotors (not that they're anywhere needing replacement yet!)

Interesting question. Where can you buy replacement rotor rings for ANY 2 piece rotor? I can't seem to find any online...

I'm confused. What do you mean by not replaceable? Aren't there replacements that you can buy from Mitsubishi? And if the stock rotors aren't replaceable, where would someone get replacement rotors?

The entire rotor is replaceable, but the outer ring (by itself) is not available from mitsu. I would like to know about aftermarket as well.

I'm interested as well. I wonder if it's because manufacturers are worried about the aluminum center piece fatiguing.

Girodisc makes replacement rings as does DBA (very shortly anyway).
