If you're going to autocross the car, I'd take the BC's over lowering springs on the stock struts any day of the week, so don't get too down on your choice.

By adding a a beefy rear sway bar, it would help even out the low spring rate in the back.

In effective rate, but it would probably introduce a lot of 3 wheel action.
