Noise from KW helper spring

Just installed KWs on my other car and the passenger side rear helper spring makes a noise when going from loaded to unloaded or vis versa. Noticed it when I was driving. Tested it by puting that corner on a jack and loading and unloading that wheel.

Is there something I can do to get rid of this? The other 3 do not have the problem.

Is the perch tightened where the spring sits on it? If it is lube the entire thing down with WD40. See if it still is occurring. Sounds like someone did not install it correctly or the perch loosened. If you can't figure it out call me tomorrow.

Are you where you can talk about it now?

I think the perch (the part that adjusts the ride height) is tight. I did sprey some tri flow on the spring but have not diven it very far since then so it might have not "worked in". Will drive the car tomorrow.

What kind of noise is it? Is it more like a clunk or a chatter?

Yeah, I would double check that the coil is pre-loaded correctly.

1. loosen that sides collar
2. tighten by hand
3. then add 4 more turns with collar wrench

Tri flow did not help. The noise is a binding noise...like springs on an old box springs.

I plan on jacking it up and loosen everything, clean and lube it and then tighten it back.

Let me guess. You have a fixed upper spring perch?
