I'm hoping that we are comparing stock 245 width versus aftermarket to keep it apples to apples. Most guys who are buying aftermarket tend to go wider (265) which is fine. However, if I have the same grip after going 20mm wider, then its technically not as good of a tire as the Advan A13c.
I'm a huge fan of the Advan A13C and I do buy take offs when I can find them. They do everything well for me, but I would not buy them at full price.
Once my current set wears out, I'll probably try the RS-3s unless I come across a great deal on another set of Advans.

Really? I loved the Advans as street tires. Meh, to each his own. I have the Hangook V12 EVOs now. Good tires, but with the Advans, I would never squeal through turns, these seem to have the same amount of grip but considering how loud they scream through turns, I'm not so sure. But even if the V12 EVO was 80% the tire the Advan is, at over 50% less and longer treadlife for a street tire, it's pretty much a no brainer.
