Need to buy brake pads

Well my stock pads are about to go bust at almost 20k miles so they have lasted even with 2 autocross events.

I already have in mind what I want but I dont know any vendors that sell pads from here.

Any ideas?

I was thinking of going with Ferodo DS2500 but a friend told me to go with Hawk HP+ since they are better (even if they are noisier and put out more dust). I also read around here about the RacingBrake ET500's but dont know where they sell them at a good price.

Basically I just want to compare prices among these and see with what I end up going with.

Thanks!

I had these brakes called seido-ya before. I bought it from a tuner shop. And I was curious how they were... In the end I was pretty happy. They performed very well in hard long braking and heat. Would definitely get one again when my current pads are done...

I believe they have it here... http://more-japan.com/home.php?cat=1331

Try the Project Mu B-force pads. Same heat range and bite as the DS2500 but doesn't fall into pieces and hot spot the rotor when it overheats. And it makes no noise.

Your Post

Your opening up a big can of worms, like asking "what kind of oil should I use" but with that in mind, how do you drive? The OEM pads are a joke in cost as are much of the pads for the EVO. Stay away from the HAWK HPS pads they suck something bad. I have them on my car and the worst pads I ever bought.

Centrec Pads are good as well, but there are like 100 different combos, so keep it simple. Unless your an avid racer, then talk to guys at the track for what they use.

Personally I like the EBC Yellowstuff pads. They are quiet, reasonalble priced and can be used for AutoX. May not have the bite as the Nu Pads but they won't wear your rotors out as bad either. So its a give and take.

My vote, Yellowstuff, best all around bad IMO.

Well I got the Ferodo DS2500 for a decent price locally so I bought them to try them out. I mostly just DD my car but I do take it to like 3 or 4 track events although I dont push it to the limit so they should be ok. If I dont like them then I think I will try the ET500 next.
