Ichiba 25mm spacers for almost 2 years. No problems - even autox with them a few times.
Light rub on liner at full lock. Lowered 1.25 in front on V3's. Rolling on stock rim with DW 255's.

^ you will... Besides messing up your steerin axis inclination, your scrub radius, and everything else suspension wise... Youre over extending ball joints, excessively side loading ball bearings, and probably making your car look like crap... That last bit may or may not be back by scientific evidence...

All this being the case if your rims is not the equal opposite of the oem specific offset... Then none of the above is true
For instance, oem offset is 35mm your favorite rims come only 15mm you toss in 20mm spacers... Its now nuetral. Other then that your screwed in the long run

Oh, my. What a load....

First, spacers/offset has zilch to do with SAI, although you're correct it alters scrub and stresses ball-joints.

Second, OEM offset is +38mm. And if you put 20mm spacers on a +15mm wheel, you now have an offset of -5mm, not +35mm.

Bah.

I think/hope what you are meaning to say is if oem offset is +35mm and your new wheel is +55mm tossing in 20 mm spacers will bring you back to the stock +35mm offset. It's impossible to go the other way and take a low offset wheel to high offset unless you machine the hubs and that's sub-optimal.
