replacing pad question..

so I just got done replacing my brakes both front and rear. after I got I notice there's arrors on the metal plates that u transfer over to the new one. I think the arrows are suppose to be up but I think I put the front one side with arrow down. are the arrows on the front suppose to be down and the rear suppose to be up. I'm thinking they're idiot proof and it goes in one way. will I mess up if I continue on driving with it wrong? I don't hear any sounds or feel anything wrong while driving.

Doubt it. The pads have the same curve as the rotor and so will the plate.

The arrow on the shim points to the direction of wheel rotation.

yeah come to think of it maybe I switch the metal shims from the inner to outer and vise versa. I don't know how I can screw that up!

Are the pads with the wear sensors on the outboard sides?

when u said outboard side you mean the sensor is not touching the rotor right? yeah I got that part right. I just realize the arrows are correct if they're suppose to be going with the rotation of the wheel. the front and rear brembos are on the opposite side LOL so they're going to look upside down.

Nope.

I meant that of the two pads that are in a caliper, one has the wear sensor and that should be installed on the outboard side (the side facing out)...not the inboard side (side you can't see).
