Preferred Lugnuts?

Preferred Lugnuts?
What do you guys recommend? I dont care for looks too much, needs to be black thats it. Just peace of mind when it comes to my rims not being stolen and the lock-keys having more than "xxx" amount of combinations. I dont see myself in spending over 200 dollars for rave colors..

Do you care about the lugs scratching your wheels at the lug holes? If you do should check out McGards, gorillas or project kics... they have models that are 2 piece independent designs that basically lock in place, but the portion that touches your wheels doesnt move, thus doesnt scratch your lug holes.
If you don't... get a set of muteki's or something...
I personally went for a set of the Project kics R40's in gunmetal to match my rims. I was very surprised when i found that the locks that came with it are not only specially grooved, but the grooves are also spaced differently around the locking lug, which i think is a pretty cool safety feature. i got my R40's for 180, BNIB from another member of my forums.

Gorilla makes a wheel lock that has a sleeve, making it more difficult for thieves to just hammer a socket wrench over them. I had a set, but the diameter was too wide for the wheels I bought them for.

Sorry for bringing back an old thread. I have had several different brands/style of lugs over the years. More recently owning a set of black McGuard 2-piece lugs (closed ended). These will not scratch your wheels as the inner piece rotates freely to not overly scrape off paint/finish. No complaints over the year I had them, none.
Month ago, picked up some project kids r40 neo-chrome (open ended) lugs, great stuff, same as mcguards being 2-piece lugs as well. Only down side to this is I wash my car at least weekly, my wheels by design hold a bit of water inside the barrel. I need to use a towel to soak the water out of each barrel. But now having open ended lugs, now I have to soak out the water sitting in each of the lugs, all 20 of them. Better off if you have an air compressor or if you have more patience than me haha. Or you could get longer lugs.
Just some small stuff to think about for user friendliness.
