Can 17's fit on the X?
Posting for a friend with an evo X. He's looking to put a set of rims/snow tires on his car and asked me if he could do 17's because 18's are considerably more expensive and it's just for the winter months....
Any info is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

If I may add some input and correct me if I'm wrong but if the brembos on the 350z, and evo are the same size then i know for a fact that 17x10 +12 5zigen fn01rc's will fit at least, and i'm pretty sure 17x10 +25 should fit as well. I had them on my z with the brembo brakes, no probs whatsoever

17's CAN fit. i remember somebody posted a pic on here before. the problem is WHICH 17's fit. you wont know unless you test fit and i doubt a lot of people out there have tried. snow wheels, most people just use stock wheels so its not like a lot of people even care to see if a 17 fits...

i've been wondering the same question myself for so long....and I even personally tried a 17x10 +18 RPF1 and it would NOT clear the stock brembos....as of right now, I have yet to see a stock Evo X with 17's
if someone can prove me wrong....please do so...and post a close up of a picture, not some BS side shot that we can't even read the tire size

if i remember correctly, that someone posted a picture and everybody asked for close ups proving it was 17....and he never got back to them....for all we know, it could have been an 18, but he was trying to play it off

yup it was quite hilarious. If I remember correctly, he just completely left the thread and never responded back to everyone's speculation. But he was posting in other threads...haha

The Rotor on a Evo X have slightly bigger calipers and rotors 17 inch wheels will not fit. I actually have a friend that has a Evo x and he put his 17 work wheels off his Evo 9 on the X and they wouldn't fit he swapped front brakes and the 17s fit like a shoe.

95% people say 17" won't fit on Evo X... however during my search for my winter setup, I saw ONE post on EvoM saying someone fitted a set of 17" on an X but no further confirmation. Do a search again. Post was 2 yrs old I think iirc.
