Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP (Ultra High Performance All-Season)
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus ZP (Ultra High Performance All-Season) Any input on these high performance all season tires? My buddy who used to drive an 06 mustang gt said they were great in the snow and even better in the summer. If its true then these are the tires I'm looking for! I'm looking for any input on these tires before I pull the trigger. So any help would be much appreciated. I'd most likely get them in 275/35/18 to fit my 9.5 + 20 grids.

I used to have some of them on one of my old cars. They are very nice in the summer, they good in the winter in snow also. If your looking for all-season tires i would recommend the conti extreme contact dws. They are great in the snow, and handle very well in the summer, probably not as good as the michelin's though. The conti's are much cheaper too, as they can be found for less the 150 a tire.

I used to have some of them on one of my old cars. They are very nice in the summer, they good in the winter in snow also. If your looking for all-season tires i would recommend the conti extreme contact dws. They are great in the snow, and handle very well in the summer, probably not as good as the michelin's though. The conti's are much cheaper too, as they can be found for less the 150 a tire.

I thought the same thing. After reading reviews and test of the tires on sites like tire rack the conti's out perform everything. I get a lot of snow where I live and I've never been out of control, or even slide unless i made the car slide with the conti's on. They may not look that great but they are awesome tires.

Do you really need the ZP (runflats), is it really worth it? I have the exact same tire, just got them lightly used for a great price, only reason mine are the runflats.
But do remember the wider you go on the tire, the worse it will perform in the snow, maybe more so in deeper snow.
They seem like a good tire, haven't tried in the snow, though I might today (its snowing now in Baltimore), just wish i had time to finish the two front mudflaps.

performance and all season shouldn't be allowed to be used in the same paragraph. have you thought about just getting a set of tires to use just for the winter months and put them on your stockers? they would do better in the snow because they would be thinner, and that way you wouldn't have to sacrifice performance (and you WILL sacrifice performance) when it warms up.

They are very good in the dry. I have very curvey roads where I live, and I drive very spirited on these roads all the time, and never loss any traction at all. I really dont see why people make comments about sacrificing performance in the summer with all-season tire on. The fact is if your only driving on the street, and within reason of the speed limits your not going to out drive good all-season tires on dry roads; especailly with the evo's awd system.
