I have a plan for that.

I have a spare, I just don't have it with me.

I've told everybody where it's stored. So, when/if I get a flat my spare is a phone call away... hopefully.

If I go on any long trips in the car (which I won't) I will put the spare back in.

Where did you get your information? Do you have a link or something?

I thought 1 fat chick = 1 med/1 skinny and 2 skinny = 1 med

So, I'm down a med and two skinny

that's some pretty technical math going on. are there any universal standards for these measurements?

Were the heavy spare and battery considered when it came to front/rear weight distribution?

Holy cow, taking mine out tonight.

BTW, isn't it true that if you drive around with a spare on that you risk messing up something in the diff(non-open diffs) because of the difference in overal size with the opposite tire or something like that? I think I read something along those lines about spares a while back. I might be wrong though.

If you own a Mitsubishi, you should also be a triple A member...

I will put in the spare if I'm driving out of town just in case, but for the most part I don't have mine in either. The only reason I don't want to rely on towing is you have to wait so long to get assistance sometimes.

I think the manual mention something about not using different sized tires front to back or left to right.

It's a smaller tire width wise.. It's not a full sized spare, don't know for sure about height, but it looked like the exact same height...

Afterhearing about this from a fellow EVO owner and reading this thread, I pulled out the spare. That thing IS really heavy! Car feels slightly different on turns. It could be my mind or the old body dyno but between the spare, jack and tools: 50 pounds is 50 pounds!
