Just wait and save until you have enough to get a nice set. I was sort of in the same boat a while back too. I've learned to save enough and getting the right quality things without failing on you, not that I don't like Rotas. They are really nice wheels, but come on guys we have 30+k cars. ;P

Rotas are nice but like others have said, they are not made very well...I'd spend a little more to get a little more

in terms of quality and price... you can't beat Enkeis. RPF1s 18x9.5 +15 would fit nicely with a some camber and 265s. What suspension are you running?

Go with gold Rota Grids. Can't go wrong with RR+Gold. I don't think Bronze will look as good on RR as it's too dark. They look better on darker colors I'd say.

Also don't put white wheels on anything but a white evo. IMO that's just wrong. Black is OK but overused.

I'm in the same boat as OP, have rally red and want to get rims at some point soon. I was thinking bronze as my first choice. Personally I'm not into gold and red. Black seems too boring. Gunmetal is my other choice over bronze. I was thinking rotas too but understand the idea of it not being an "upgrade". I'd say enkeis of some sort. I'm still researching.

Of those three colors, I'd probably go with black. Personally, I've always been more of a fan of metallic colors. Volk's Mercury Silver color I think would look great with a Rally Red Evo X.
Are you going for looks or weight/strength?
Have you checked out the Enkei PF01's? They're good looking, pretty solidly built and really light. That's what I recommend for many people.

Here are a few shots of my RR X with 18x10 SVN's in royal hyper black dropped on swift spec r springs. Let me know if you have any questions about these rims...

ps- when I was looking i was torn between these and silver rpf1's.

Paint your stock what ever color you want and it will help you save for some quality wheels.

Yup save for a good set of enkei's second hand and you'll be sure your rolling on a trusted rim, at a bargain of a price. However, if it's a must from your choices above. Black rota SVN's...
