The springs do match the valving well.

We wouldn't expect any OEM to warranty their shock with any aftermarket spring. In our experience, the soft low springs do cause a shorter lifetime for the shock due to bottoming out excessively. We have never designed soft low springs, and in 5+ years of making springs for Evo and sti have not had real issues. Some difference, perhaps, but the shocks have held up nicely.

This may have been addressed somewhere, but since you brought it up...

Was it difficult to design the spring to work in conjunction with two different struts? Is there compromises on one vs the other with your spring?

If I can get the 25th off work for a track day, I'll have an answer for laptimes and lateral g's. 0-60 isn't really impacted much, there is more variation in human error then these springs vs stock as far as acceleration goes...

I posted laptimes and lateral g's with my stock suspension in the show n shine forum (thread called something like "PGP lapping day vids and pics"). The track is very handling oriented, power makes very little difference. Check out pacificgp.com for track info

The GTWORX springs, along with power steering bushings, whiteline RCK, rear diff and subframe inserts, and +30whp picked up a little over a second on my sisters sti at that track and got rid of tons of understeered and bodyroll. So based on their sti products, I know Gtworx gives results from personal experience

Were you able to go to the track day and compare the results with your prior track days?

Did you crash? I hope everything is alright! I once spinned at high speed at the track with my STi years back, and it was pretty scary having no control whatsoever!

yeah i crashed, i didn't spin though, went straight off. it was more of a "damn it i'm crashing" moment for me, not really scary... i'm sure spinning would have been different though...

I had exactly that experience the first time my daughter rode with me on ice. I knew what was coming and said (quite calmly, in fact), "honey, we're going off." She turned to look at me and asked, "what does 'off' mean?" but before I could answer, she learned by experience.

No damage at all and she still wants to co-drive. She's 12.

Hope your off was as uneventful.
