V12's are awesome on dry pavement. As far as wet traction, they kinda suck lol. But who races in the rain, right?? Ill spin quite a bit in the rain on these tires.

I have experience with the DW and the V12. IMO the DW blows the V12 out of the water for grip. I honestly feel the DW has better grip than the stock advans. HOWEVER, they have a softer sidewall than the stock advans, so the steering input is dulled a little bit. I feel the V12 is about the same for soft sidewall... so it really boils down to price and grip. One more thing... this was in Oregon on OUR roads . The DW does great in the wet. V12... not so much.

+1 for Continental DW.

BTW, I paid $725 mounted and balanced for all 4 DW from Americas Tire. Includes tire lifetime free rotate & balance.

Currently running on evo V12, they're great for their price. Drove them for about 6k and they're still grippy as ever.

I'm in love with RS-3s mounted on my TE37 SLs. With that being so, I'll be wrapping some V12 on future daily driving rims on the horizon.

what size were yours though?

i'll be getting 255/35/19. did you have to talk to anyone in particular because I don't think that I can even get the v12s for that much just the tires alone, minus the mounting/balancing. since you're in the same NW area as I am then your +1 vote for the DW really counts as +10. we have a lot of rain here for sure

I missed that part. 19's are definitely going to cost way more. One of the main reasons I won't go to 19" wheels. Sorry man.

It's funny cuz the diamter of the face of the wheel is actually like 21" but I'm guessing they measure from the bead seats. I'm just going to have to suck it up and buy the DW this time around. If I dont like them I can always step down to the V12s next time around.

He's asking why you aren't thinking of other tires, specifically those that he mentions. I'll give you some reasons to discount the KDW2s:
- horrendous road howl
- lower gas mileage
- average grip
- soft sidewall

The only thing I somewhat like about them are:
+ they last forever (but that means I'm putting up with the above negatives forever)
+ the tread pattern looks cool

Everything I've read is steering me to the Hankook's for my next tire.

Got V12 Evos in a 265/35/18 and I gotta say that I havnt had a tire as good as these for a long time. For their price point they are a great tire.... this article sold me:

I have the Hankooks too and am very satisfied with them for a street tire. A little less grippy than the OEM's, but seem to be on point to last 2-3 times as long, are quiet, good in the rain, and obviously have a great price. I haven't run the Continentals. so I can't comment on them.

As for the KDW's that came up, screw those tires. I had them mounted on my old Corolla and almost freaked out leaving the tire shop because they howled like freaking 44" Super Swampers on a lifted truck. They'd have to stick like slicks to warrant putting up with that noise (and they did not). The only reason to buy them is if all you care about is an eye-catching tread design.
