Continental DW or Hankook Ventus V12 evo K110 ?
My new wheels are set to be here pretty soon which are 19x9 + 32. Going on them are one of these two tires I have yet to decide upon. Tire size will definitely be a 255/35/19.
On tirerack.com the Continental DW were reviewed quite a bit higher than the Hankooks were, but were slightly more money. The Continental not only were reviewed higher, but out-performed the Hankooks in every catergory, including treadwear. The continentals are NOT the DWS, they are the DW!!
If you look at the following links you can see a chart of performance (click on surveys):
Continental DW: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes
Hankook Ventus: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....omCompare1=yes
My question is, is it worth it to spend a slight bit more money for the Continentals or should I just go with the hankooks? It's not too much of a price difference but I wanted to get some actual experience in on this from other people with the same car as I have. I've heard continentals have somewhat of a sidewall flex to them but when looking at the stats it looks like the DW tires have better steering response than the hankooks (this directly relates to sidewall flex). Thanks in advance! Any help appreciated!!

I don't know man, the conti's are a 340 teadwear tire and the Hancook's are 280... Hancook's should be stickier,, but if the review was a head to head test and not two different tests then I guess not. The Conti's are 33% more expensive than the Hancook's so if the tread wear is 33% better then it should be a wash...

That's why I posted on here to get an answer out of anyone who has had conti DW and the hankooks and can compare the two on our actual vehicle.

I got the DW's and I think they drive pretty sweet. All the facts on the tirerack show they are better and lighter as well so why choose a far less superior tire for such a bad azz car? It was a no brainer for me.. tires are important.

im running the DW on a evo8.
I have to admit, straight line traction is awesome! light years better than the oem X tires.
way better all around & especially in the rain.
I have ~10k on the tires & they still look like a lot of thread left.. both the D&W are visible in the tread, as they are wear indicators.
They provide a better ride as well, compared to the oem X advan.
I havent run the v12's, so i have no experience there.

Because they don't carry the continental brand name upcharge
I never would have given the V12's a second glance were it not for so many rave reviews on the interwebs car forums... I'm either going with those or star specs when i get some decent size wheels for the sportback.
