Hankook Ventus v12 evo k110 tire noise or something else?

Just replaced the Advans with the Hankooks last Saturday and am not sure if the noise is the tire or issues due to install or maybe a faulty tire... When driving on interstate over 75ish, I get a sort of hum, seems mostly on the right front tire. It seems to happen intermittently, but at higher speeds it kind of drones on and off a bit. Anyone have this or know what might cause this? Or is this normal ?

I know the v12 k110 has a pretty aggressive, different tread, so some hum might be normal, but everything I have read on these tires, says that they are quiet.

Where I had my car serviced left me pretty unhappy as it was, so I figured this might be related to their install... and wanted your input before I had to deal with them again. I ordered these and brought them in, my service included a tire mount, standard wheel balance, and alignment check (or at least that is what I was billed for). Besides having my car for 7 hours for a tire change out and scraping one of my rims up, I only want to deal with them if its really an issue. I do have the paperwork for tire warranty, etc if it could be a faulty tire.

Maybe it's just me, but any input is appreciated on this.

You should address both the tire and wheel situation. They should take care of the wheel and check the balance of the tire.

Thanks for input so far. I'll have to go back, take er in Saturday morning...

I just picked up the v12 because they have gotten such awesome reviews and were at a good price. For the week they have been on, they are handling great, besides high speed noise... No noise like the Advans, but I eeked out 15,000 miles on those puppies, so these are quieter regardless!

Alright, took the car in Saturday, had the tires looked at, rotated, rebalanced and alignment checked...still have the noise. I did find out the camber on front right side is on edge of range (-0.5 degrees) so I'll have to check that out while I am under warranty. Maybe that's contributing...

Besides that, a valve stem broke on front left tire as soon as we got the car home from re-service (we were checking psi of tires ), so we had to let the tire flatten, take the tire off and bring it in to replace valve stem and TPMS sensor, so we could bring home remount, torque, etc. What a great Saturday...

I'll be talking to the dealership this week.

Hankook V12 Evos are junk. I put a set on made my car feel like it had a flat tire. Way to soft of a side wall.

I just installed some V12 EVO's and I have 0 noise. BTW best tire I've had in a long time and I've used everything from RE01R's to RT-615 to RE50/70's etc.

I've owned 2 sizes of Hankook V12 Evo's and what I have to say is they are the most quiet tires I've ever ridden on ever. The the sidewalls are kind of soft as I took them out to one track day before. But as a Daily Driver tire I highly recommend it. I've owned 265/35 R18 and currently 275/30 R19

8k miles on mine so far and they're much quieter than the OEM Advans. I'm very happy with them.
