265/35 front & 275/35 rear
I have done search without an answer. What issues will I have running 265/35-18 on the front with 275/35-18 on the rear. I am running Enkei RPF-1 18x9.5 +15 with Swift Spec-R springs and a Whiteline kit.
Rubbing, issues with different sizes front to rear, etc. Thanks!

You can't run different size tires on an AWD car - it will destroy your diffs. Please always stick to the same size tire all around. It's the tire circumference that matters...

Well there are actually plenty of AWD cars that run staggered setups, which in most cases have a larger tire on the rear. Not sure how it would work on the evo, assuming you run a stock size in front, with a 275/35/18 in the rear, they're the same diameter. I don't see a point in doing it, though....Why not just run 265s all around, or even 275s if you want to some fender work.

For instance -
265/35 = 35% of 265 cross-section = 92.75mm sidewall
275/35 = 35% of 275 cross-section = 96.26mm sidewall
I suppose if you found a 275/33.7/18 you'd be alright.
As someone pointed out, if running an open center differential to handle the front to rear mismatch you could probably get away with it. But everything I've gathered about the X would point to sticking to matched tires all around.

They won't be the same diameter. IIRC, the 2nd sequence of numbers in the xx/xx/xx sequence is the % of sidewall to tread width.
For instance -
265/35 = 35% of 265 cross-section = 92.75mm sidewall
275/35 = 35% of 275 cross-section = 96.26mm sidewall

I personally would never do it, there is no reason too. There isn't a staggerd setup on this car, but however many AWD cars do run different tire sizes in the front then rear.
But the 275/35/18 is the closest size to stock available, for an 18" wheel.
