XXR 521 18x8.5 +25 Clear Stock Brakes

I understand there is another thread here from all my searching:
http://www.evoxforums.com/forums/sho...hlight=XXR+521

But that is for 18x10 +25; where the OP used 25mm spacers to get a 0 offset then shaved down 1/4inch of the wheel stud.

I was looking to avoid that lol.

Is anyone running the XXR 521 in 18x8.5 +25 form? If so with or without spacers? What size tires? PICS? Stock height or dropped?

Been searching and the OP's thread is the closest with answers. Is that the only way to make this wheel work?

TIA!

Sorry about reviving a super old thread but I'm interested in running XXR 521 at 18x8.5 too, ever learn anything about this setup?

I think I need 25mm spacers up front to clear Brembos (no spacers in back), I might add 10mm spacers to rear if it looks funny, we'll see. +25 offset, I assume front and rear. Probably 245/40/18 Kumho tires (not stretched or stanced), this tire size will keep my speedo accurate right?

I'm running some lowering springs but nothing major. I don't want to run any negative camber, hydro planing with negative camber is how Evos end up on part-out threads. I plan on rolling my fenders if necessary.

My car is about an inch higher than this now, this is back when I was running BC Racing Coilovers (they corrode really bad with road salt).

I realize this is kind of an old thread but I was stuck wondering the same until I decided to bite the bullet. but I picked up some xxr 521 's (18x9 +25) and they clear the brembos! they're on the car but I haven't driven it yet as it's being stored right now but from what I can tell there's no rubbing issues either and I'm lowered around an inch on swift springs. hope that helps!

I have a set of XXR's i can try and test fit and post up some pics tomorrow if that helps. You'll need to run extended studs if you want spacers because ichiba spacers (ones that bolt on) wont work since the 521 isnt drilled properly in the back so the stock studs would hit the back. On my old car I used to run 18x8.5 +25 with extended studs and slip on 15mm spacers.

Either way Ill post up some pics tomorrow if they fit or not and show how much room you'll need to make for clearance
