Swift spec r
Hi there,
I just got my 265/35/18 tires which i will put on my stock enkei rims. Im planning on putting the swift spec r on my car. Should i expect any fenders rubbing with this set up? I have a 08 gsr.
Thanks.

Well as per this thread they should fit and I had a 09 sti with bbs 18 x 8.5 with 265 tire on it so pretty sure they will fit.

You can't compare what fits on a 09 STi to what fits on an Evo X. The wheel offsets are most likely different and just because the tire MIGHT fit on that wheel doesn't mean it is a good plan or that it will work on the car.
I'm almost positive it will rub the inner fender because the factory offset is too conservative and that tire is too wide.

There was one person from the middle east supposedly running a 265 on a stock wheel in that thread...and numerous recommendations to run a 245 or 255 at max on stock wheels. Search the boards you'll find that no one runs a 265 on stock wheels, however many run 265's on 9.5".

I said they probably wouldn't fit the stock wheels. The tire is the problem. All 265 tires are not the same width, it varies a lot by brand and model. Obviously the 8.5" STi and Evo wheels are both 8.5"...you're debating a moot point. The point is that setup is less than ideal.
