Tire Pressure
#32
51 psi LOL love it.
I'm running Continental DWS on my '11 Ralliart and the door jam says 36 psi all the way around.
Same tires on my Legacy and I run them at 38/35 which feels great for grip.
On the Ralliart the tire place put them all at 38 and they felt to float on the road, not the best feeling around the corners. I've put them to 36 and they do feel much better. I see people (though the cars vary) running anywhere from 27 (track) to 38/40, with quite a few saying 32.
With this car is it recommended to run a bit more pressure in the fronts because of the engine weight, or keep them all equal? I'll prob try 33 all around and see how that is.

I am officially and genuinely frightened by this post. I think I will no longer take a student's word regarding tire pressure and will bring my own gauge prior to climbing in their car.
a 51 psi recommendation...just when I thought I'd seen it all.

I've seen people post about putting the max ps in tires before, ridiculous. There can't be much grip and when the tire expands from heat it's going to blow eventually or bubble at least.
I've put about 150 miles on my tires, grip seems to be improving while it gets rid of the coating they put on the tires.
Do these cars have a 40/60 split on the front and rear, making it bit more rear wheel drive? If so what's the recommendation on tire pressure? More in front, more in back, equal all the way around?

I just bought some new tires yesterday and I was wondering what max PSI should I inflate them to? The tire says, "Max 51 PSI" but would that be too much? Sorry if this is a dumb question but I really don't know
These are the tires I purchased http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....utoModClar=GSR
Thanks guys
