Valve Stems & OEM TPMS

Was curious to know if aftermarket stems work with OEM TPMS? One of my valve stems has taken some damage and now the cap will not go all the way in. I wanted to replace it out with a Ray's/Volk valve stem.

Yes, you can get VDO senders that work and cost a lot less than getting them from Mitsu. Tire Rack, for example, sells them.

Sorry in advanced i'm not too familiar with TPMS, but these VDO senders you talk about... It's not a complete replacement, is it?

I would just go to tire rack and pick up these senders and attach the new valve stems on to the old TPMS?

My turn to apologize. I didn't read your post carefully enough.

You cannot swap in alternative stems. But you might be able to fix the problem by replacing the core of the valve-stem. Worth a shot, since cores are cheap and the tire doesn't have to be unmounted.
