What do you think of these D Force rims?

Great looking rims, can be painted or powdercoated any color. Mine are gunmetal

My 18x10's are 18.8 lbs ea and I beleive they retail for $300 per rim....

I also ran one of the first sets of these in the states back in 2006 on my Dakar M3/4.

I have 4 sets of rims now:

Einke 18x10.5-15 offset with 315/30/18 Hoosier A6's for Solo 2's in my ASP EVO MR

D Force 18x10's with 295/30/18 Kumho Street & rain comp setup

D Force 18x10's with 285/30/18 BFG R1's for Solo1 & track days instructing

Stock BBS OEM 18x8.5" with 255/35/18 Hankook RSA's Not sure what I'm doing with these now

I dont care for the style of those wheels, personally. The specs look good for an X, though.

Wow. According to the old rule - "light, strong, cheap ... pick two" - these things should bend from having their picture taken, because $300 for a 18# 18x10 is rather good.

(Full disclosure: I've never even heard of these before....)

edit: no-one tell Ken that I posted in this thread, OK?

I run these on my SM in 15x7. Haven't had any problems with then and they have been great wheels. They are a outstanding value in wheels.

I could help you with that if you would let me know your price. Seriously!

If your looking to buy some, I recommend hitting up Vorshlag and asking or Terry. Tell him Adam from MAP sent you. (No longer from MAP)

whats the offset of the ones on your evo? I think these look great on BMW's and that STi, but somethings not sitting right with me with how they look on the evo... maybe its the ride height...

can you take some more pics from different angles?

I'd also love to hear about the body-work needed to get 315 A6s on an ASP car.

The offset requires a 15MM hubcentric spacer for strut clearance up front, I run them at all 4 corners with all 3 rim and tire setups

THe ride height is lower than stock but high enough for my 900F/1000R springs to keep the tires from making contact with the fenders under full load.

The fenders have been massaged and repainted to pull them out as far as possible. Our cars weigh much more than the previous generarion EVO's and STI's but also have some advantages as well.

The 315's on my EVO are unbeleivable. I have 20+ years Solo 2 experience and was one of the first BMEW E36 drivers who ran a 285/30/18 setup in BSP years ago...

check this out:

Scroll down to Clips 2 and 3...The M3 driver is a friend of mine and he took the Nat TOur BSP win at Devens a couple weeks ago...I'm the ASP white EVO that cranked out FTD

Aggressive fender pull/roll and repaint

Take off wheel well liners, bend or cut off all fastners, plastic and metal

Cut rocker panel and bend support brackets to size (minor 45 degree trim needed)

Would you have to run the 15mm spacer on the Enkeis if you were on a 285 r-comp? And do you feel the 315 really give you that much more grip over the 285 in solo2?

Thanks

Which allowance permits this? I thought we could only go after the fenders and wheel-wells, as long as it was outside of the hub-face.

The wheel well mod is done for the 315's to clear at full lock. Just a small bit of the lower rocker panel is ground down for the tire to clear. Its legal....
