will 18x10 +18 sit flush with 245 stock tires

Thinking of buying a set of weds 55 in black/blue to go on my 2011, and I've researched but can't tell a lot by the pictures.

First will the stock tires fit without looking ridiculously stretched? This isn't a Honda, I'm not a fan of the stretched looked when its too noticeable

Second, like the title says will that size with that offset be flush, or will it stick out the wheel well.

Thanks

I don't know what it will look like and really don't care. You don't put a tire on a wheel that is wider than the sidewalls, period.

I didn't assume anyone would care what my wheels would look like, if that was somehow implied I'm sorry it upset you.

Pardon my ignorance, but I don't follow the last sentence, do you mean from a point of functionality, because I have read of people doing it, or do you mean it as a point of poor aesthetics?

No it won't, you will need a 275 to sit flush. 245 is stretched on 9.5"

I think he meant from a functional and aesthetic standpoint. Since it will look stupid, and the tire will be too small for the wheel.

18x10+18 is past flush.

18x9.5+25 (or possibly +23) would be precisely mathematically even with the fender.

Many people go way wider than that and still say it's not flush enough, but sticking out past the fender isn't flush....

Also the stock tire is unsafe on a 10" wide wheel.

I will put 255 when I have to buy new tires, I just can't afford for a few months. So I guess functionally will the 245 be detrimental?

Here are the pics of the 245 on the rim, it doesn't look horrible some some of the 92 Honda civics I see with work equip wheel, but it is far from ideal in terns of aethstics

Yeah. My first post was a tad terse.

On the street, I wouldn't go above 90% (wheel to sidewall). Any more is just more weight with no gain. Autocrossers go a tad higher, because they have stickier tires and it's all about turning, but if these are "just" street wheels, 85-90% is about right.

Not sure if this is still open, but how did the car do with the 245/10's? In somewhat the same position, and wondering if you had any major issues?
