Here's my pathetic attempt at a silver lining:

This was a good experience because all owners of Evo Xs need to practice spending $2000 to make a repair that merely brings the car back to the starting place.

In other words, this wheels experience will prepare you for when your ACD/AYC pump dies.

i ended up getting refurbished wheels off of wheelcollision.com.

they managed to find two for me and it came out to $500 each, which wasn't bad. needed to switch to all-season tires anyways as winter is coming up... all-in damage was $2000 =/

as a side note i separately messed up the wheel hub bearing... can't believe how bad of a driver i am haha (5500miles sigh)
$2000 for 2 refurbish wheels and 4 new tires. Try and get some $$$ back by posting the damage BBS on the forsale forums. See whats out there

Had my 2010 BBS wheels refinished about a month ago.
I originally wanted to get the Brembo Red but they didn't have the color.
So I opted for gloss black.
Gloss black really makes the Brembo's stand out!

Anyways the reason I did that was because one wheel had a long crack starting at the lip
And going down about 1-1/2".
On the exact opposite side was a huge bend from a pothole.
It didn't hold air!
They charged me $50 to straighten it out and weld the repair (so far so good)
And charged $150 per wheel to repair all curb rashes and powder coat them gloss black.
Total cost $650.00 and they look BRAND NEW!

While I agree with the general idea, the thread-starter has less than 5 posts.
