Trying to make new wheels fit..

The wheels in mind are 8x10 +21. I want to keep on using the tires I have which are 255/18/40, will I have to get a lower profile tire? Or can I get away with the 40series and massage the fender like crazy? If I do go with 35 series will I just need a roll or do I have to mess with the camber too?

You most likely need a roll and camber.

I'm going through 100+pages from the "aggressive" thread and theres some that 8×10 that will fit with just a roll depending on the offset.

yea, but you'll still need camber in the -1.5 to -2.0 range.

Those aren't terrible camber numbers, especially the low end.

255's might save you too. I'm at 275, +30 at -1.5, no roll. You might be ok with 255's. I would say try camber first, then roll if you have to.

Eibach unfortunately. Ok so what's easier? rolling fenders or messing with the camber? And if I do have to mess with the camber. How do I go about doing it? And yes I've search. Is it something I can do myself?

Alignment shop or yourself with an alignment rack, if your car still has stock eccentrics. If you have camber / toe arms aftermarket, you can give yourself a little more clearance.

So 40 series vs 35 series makes a huge difference even when it's a stretch?

I am on ohlins with 18x9.5+15 wheels wrapped with 255/35/18. no roll , no rub.
Lets do a simple match..
assuming my lip/ outside tire is dangerously close to fender, converting your wheels to 9.5 wheels would be something like this:
18x9.5 et 21mm- 12.7 mm (0.5inch) so your wheels would be 18x9.5 et 8.3mm, which means your wheels are sticking out 7 mm than mine.
You would most definetelly need a roll, unless super stretched, with some negative camber that you dont wanna run on street

Edit: I just realize the style of the wheel play a big factor too... My math only assume your wheel style is similar to rpf1s

My bad, man, I thought concaveness / convexness matters, but offset is a "Universal" thing. It doesn't change with the style.

Ok thanks everyone. Now I need a math guru to help me out. I've use some wheel offset calculators and it shows that my wheel will stick out 24mm from my current setup which isn't that bad. Right now I'm rolling with the stocker wheel 18x8.5 38mm and 12mm spacer to make it +26mm. The tires are 255/40. The rims im getting are 18x10 +21. Can someone confirm that it'll just stick out 24mm which is about an inch?
