Recommended Winter Tires for Canada

Hey Guys!

So I just traded in my Jeep Wrangler for an Evo! My question is since I am new with the car itself, I was just wondering what winter tires should I get as I am planning ahead for winter in Canada.

I don't plan to do any mods on the car as of now and will use the bbs rims together with the new tires. Any suggestions will do, as I am planning to get something under a $1000 CAD. Thanks in Advance!

Blizzak WS60 in the stock size on stock wheels work well on my wife's Ralliart. I have Nokian Hakkapeliitta r2s on my Evo on the stock wheels and they're great. Neither are wonderful in the dry though and both will wear quickly if you drive them warm/dry.

TPMS sensors need to be cloned or you can pay the dealer to re-code TPMS twice a year if you go with two sets of wheels (or you can live with the light being on through the Winter months).

I have Continental ContiWinterContactTM TS 810 Sport and they perform excellent. They are stock size on the stock GSR Enkei wheels. I'm in Winnipeg and we have crazy winters here, lots of snow and ice on the roads and I never have any issues at all. These tires are at least 4-5 years old now too.

Did I mention they can be very fun too¿?¿ :P
