^I only change them if they look really bad/damaged or if the car starts to shimmy/shake down the road while slowing down or coming to a complete stop. But like I said.... that's me. Some will have a different opinion.

The full set of pads and rotors for all 4 corners brand new including taxes is under $2000. (If you buy them from a dealer, wanted the highest price so I called Sport Mitsubishi)
So what $1000 to install them? I don't think so.
Regardless of the fact that no one would replace their rotors the first time around anyway unless there was some serious damage to them, resurface and be on your way. Minimum spec is what matters.

USD$3000!
You could get girodiscs + ferodos on all 4s for that much.
Labor.. If you have good friends and neighbors around you that have the tools and knowledge, you'd be all set!

Don't know how I missed this post, but that was me being sarcastic.

Front rotor: $516 x2
Rear rotor: $478 x2
Front pads: $385
Rear pads: $335
That's $2,708 in parts. 3hrs of labor at $130/hr, $390. + tax + brake fluid. Over $3k...
I'm not saying he should pay $3k for all new brakes. Just saying that is what it could cost because as I stated, the OEM brembo stuff is expensive.

I changed all my pads and rotors 3 months ago. Bought Centric blank rotors and Stoptech Sport pads from RockAuto. Total came out to $374.13. If you know about Centric rotors, many OEM companies and even high-end aftermarket companies use their rotors and rebrand them.
I spent maybe 5 hours total working really slowly making sure I did everything correctly. But honestly, very easy.
CENTRIC 12546076 (125.46076) Rotor $ 69.79 2 $ 139.58
CENTRIC 12546075 (125.46075) Rotor $ 62.99 2 $ 125.98
CENTRIC 30913680 (309.13680) Brake Pad $ 41.99 1 $ 41.99
CENTRIC 30910010 (309.10010) Brake Pad $ 55.79 1 $ 55.79
Discount $ -18.17
Shipping Ground $ 28.96
Order Total $ 374.13
If you add up tools you can use in the future:
Harbor Freight Low Profile Jack: $100
Craftsman 3-ton Jack Stands: $40
Harbor Freight Toque Wrench: $20
Ratchet Set: $50
Brake Pad Grease: $10
About $600 bucks in all.

My brakes are starting to wear down so I stopped by the dealership during my lunch break. I was quoted more than $3300-$3500. That's wayyy to much. I checked out http://oemmitsubishiparts.com and the price is almost that much for oem pads and rotors.
I searched everywhere about pads and rotors in this forum. It seems overwhelming.
I would like to stop as good as (quickly) oem brembo pads and rotors. I drive in the city, towns and back roads in all 4 seasons. I don't track my car. This would be the first time I will be buying aftermarket pad and rotors.
Maybe Centric Premiums with StopTech 309 series Street Performance pad?
Any other suggestions??

I would suggest the girodisc S/S pads, if the car has OEM rotors, have them machined. If not, get some Centric premium blanks.
Pads are at this link:
