i dont know what the smog laws are like in chicago but unless you plan on putting the old headers back on when you take it in, i took mine off when that happened like a year ago because i wasnt to comfortable with someone cutting the ses light wire just so it wouldnt flash

just get the mil eliminator...mine was on for a while but then it went off and hasnt been back on since then, I dont understand it but im happy
It does absolutly nothing, and if your worried about something being wrong with your engine and u not being able to know about it because that threw the light on 24/7, just get the mil eliminator like i said, or just drive around with it on.

I take it the mil eliminator makes the ses light go off? If not, then how do you make it go off? I'm going to be buying a RRM header, but I don't want my ses light on all the time..

most people say that the mil eliminator doesnt work. i havent tried it myself though. if you want to get rid of the light, take out your gauge cluster and pull the bulb. thats basically the easiest way.

i have a cat delete pipe and it set off the SES light, take the negative side off the battery for about 10-15 min, plug it back in and bam SES light gone. Did it about 3 months ago, no SES light ever since.
