Personally, I've settled on the RMR intake cuz it has the most functional heat shield and also makes use of the stock air dam.

On the other hand, I asked Injen about hp gains from their short ram and they said 4-6, whereas I haven't seen any numbers from the other makers.

4-6 hp for an intake is BS . . . . in my opinion they are all gonna do the same basic thing . . . the difference in performance gains is going to be so minimal i dont think it matters . . . especially with just an intake alone . . . . it all depends on how much metal you want to pay for i guess . . .

I'm with wags. Not to mention the amazing number of threads we already have on this subject. Redundant threads means you'll have a harder time finding the info you want when you run a search.

Redundancy kills. Don't forget Buschur and the K&N FIPK.

i'm rocking the stock airbox baby!

coming soon: car stereo.

to me, performance/price is a big issue. i'm not about to spend $400 on intake and exhaust that will get me 5 hp total, plus draw unneeded attention to myself from ricers/cops. i listen to music a lot, so spending a couple hundred on a really good stereo would be money better spent IMO.

if you are looking for a good first improvement to your car, i'm a big fan of the sway bar. amazing difference in handling

Numbers aside, you will notice a difference in acceleration during driving.

yes i agree.....but i will feel unsatisfied with the difference that i can notice versus the price i paid. noticing a difference, and making your car faster are two different things.

now if i spend $400 on a sub/amp/speakers, i will definitely be happy with the difference it made in sound
