Moving the stock gauge cluster up higher

Hi there...I'm a newby and just got an 05 RS. I like it, but the gauge cluster (voltage, oil temp, boost), is at the bottom of the center stack....definately not where your eyes should be. I was thinking of pulling the dash apart and putting the gauges where the space for the radio is (on people who's cars come with one!). Has anybody done this? Are there any "gotchas"?

thanks!

tom

that can be done, if you need to move the radio get the lower DIN mount kit from the dealer and move your radio to the lower position

it's definately doable. all the MRs i've sen come with the gauges up top and the stereo on te bottom. i think it's just a matter of taking the dash panels off, diconnecting the radio and gauges, moving them and reversing all those steps. I'm sure there's something more to it but I'm pretty sure that's the cliff notes version.

you just have to switch the radio and the gauges...you have and RS so all you have to do is move it up to the upper dIN
