Let the Haggling begin
Well, I've finally made up my mind that I'm going to buy my car when I go home next month...Still trying to figure out what It's going to be though...I just got a quote yesterday from a Mitsu dealer- His first offer was $36k OTD for a new '05 with SSL, HA! Needless to say, I said no thank you and that I was also talking to Subaru about a new STi...Their offer was a lot better, so now the Mitsu dealer is having the dealership's "Evo Specialist" get in contact with me. The SRT4 is still ever looming in my mind, especially if nobody is going to give me a deal with the Evo IX and the new STi on the way in, paying anywhere near full price for a car that will be "last year's model" just doesn't make sense. Are there any dealers here that have any tips on special offers/buying tips for sept?

my advice... wait til the 06's hit the dealers, then negotiate on 05 prices. ya might have to drive a ways, but ya can def get a good deal. i paid >29k on an 05 w/ SSL 3 months ago, im sure you could do the same.
and as far as the srt4.., i had one. mine WAS quicker in a straight line (it had the mopar stg 1), which is less than 400 bucks. its an awesome car for the price! it all depends on your budget.

Was the 29k an out the door price? My problem is that I'm going home on leave (military) and am already pre-approved...I don't get out of the military all together until around January when I will be going back to school for a semester...After I'm not getting my steady/guaranteed paycheck every 2 weeks anymore, I'm not sure if they'll approve me, so I need to do it now this sept when I go home and just have it kept at home for 4 months until I'm back for good.
